Unity in Motion (2025)

Well-being has a crucial impact on students learning outcomes and general satisfaction with life. We want to contribute to this and achieve no bullying and that all students have at least one friend in their class and in another European country. This will lead to better school results.

We want especially to better the results for boys, as they score lower in several countries, and we believe an increased focus on physical activity and better and more varied lessons can contribute to this.

We are six partner schools from Norway, North Macedonia, Portugal, Italy, Croatia and Bulgaria.

Italia (Novembre 2025)

"“Unity in Motion” was an unforgettable experience that not only helped us improve our level of English, but also brought us together. We hosted foreign students, with whom we shared joy, melancholy and thanks to them, we were able to go out of our comfort zone.

Throughout the week, we participated in a variety of school activities and guided tours led by us students. Every moment was filled with laughter and jokes, but also serious conversations about our cultural differences.

The experience ended with a farewell party organized by us together with our teachers. It was a joyful evening of music, dancing, and shared memories, but at the same time we were saddened by the fact that this experience was coming to an end.

“Unity in Motion” was more than just a project. It was a journey of exploration, bonding, and growth. We embraced our guests with our true spirit and when they left, we became completely new people with new values: open-mindedness, self-assurance and a cultural awareness. We returned to our routines changed, more aware, more united, and much more mature than before.

Thanks to this project, we are now friends with people from other countries, such as Norwegians, Bulgarians, Portuguese, Croatians and Macedonians. Friendships wouldn’t have been born if we hadn't hosted them in Italy."

Macedonia del Nord (Settembre 2025)

"Participating in the Erasmus project in Macedonia was one of the most amazing experiences we've ever had. We had so much fun and it was a great opportunity to learn new things, discover different cultures, and grow both personally and as a group. Every day was filled with exciting activities and unforgettable moments. One of the most emotional and enjoyable parts of the trip was the excursion to Lake Ohrid. The landscape was breathtaking, and we were all positively surprised by the SUP (Stand Up Paddle) activity.

At first, many of us were unsure about trying it, but in the end, it turned out to be one of the best and funniest experiences of the project. We also think that Bitola is a beautiful and fascinating city, full of history, charming streets, and friendly people. Walking around the city gave us the chance to really connect with the local culture.

What made this experience even more special was the strong bond of friendship we built with our host families and with the other Erasmus participants. We are extremely happy to have made such deep connections that we will carry with us for a long time. It was truly a once-in-a- Lifetime and we would like to thank our Macedonian hosts for making it unforgettable."

Active Students, Active Citizens (2024)

Active Citizens- ACT NOW

The goal of our project is to shape the students of our three schools -Lycée Sainte Marie des Champs (Toulouse, France), 3 Geniko Lykeio (Kalamatas, Greece) and I.I.S.S. Trinchese (Martano, Italy)- into active citizens.

Active citizens who will defend democracy, guard the values of the EU, and realize its role and operation. Therefore we seek to strengthen citizenship and link it with digital skills so that students can also consult online on European platforms.

In addition, we aim to increase the participation of young people in the European elections, to share the professional experience of teachers, to promote respect and acceptance of diversity among people.

Erasmus in Bulgaria

Italia (Ottobre 2024)

Martano, Italia, 3-17 ottobre 2024

The third in-person mobility for students and teachers took place in Martano, Italy, hosted by I.I.S.S. "Trinchese." The activities conducted were as follows:

"Discovering Italy and Martano": A group project where Italian students acted as mentors, creating presentations about their country and city and serving as guides for various visits.
"How Decisions Are Made in Our School": This activity involved documenting the similarities and differences in decision-making within student councils of the participating countries.
Creating a Scenario for Role-Playing: Students developed role-playing scenarios to simulate decision-making in the European Parliament. In groups, they formulated questions to be submitted for public consultation within the European Union on the theme of voting—specifically, whether voting should be mandatory. This led to group discussions, a plenary session, and voting on the proposals.
Public Consultation Creation on the "together.eu" Platform: Students created consultation topics on the platform to allow informed citizens to engage and contribute toward reaching the project’s objectives.
Visits to Local Government Institutions: Students observed the democratic decision-making processes at local institutions, including the town halls of Martano and Lecce, and the government of the province. They interacted with officials and highlighted common democratic values and goals.
Visits to Local Associations and Enterprises: The students visited Naturalis in Martano (aloe) and Masseria in Caprarica (olive oil) to understand decision-making in local businesses and their role in the local economy. They also visited youth communities actively involved in the social, economic, and political life of the city, such as the Grico association in Kalimera, and interviewed the traditional music group The Taranters.
Creation of Digital Lessons: Digital lessons were created based on the outcomes of these activities.
Project Presentation for Erasmus Days: A presentation summarizing the project was prepared for a virtual event on Thursday, the 17th, during Erasmus Days, to showcase best practices in decision-making within school communities, local self-management institutions, and youth communities in Italy.
